We are a family environment teaching the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST.
As outlined in the Church Covenant, we believe in “religiously educating our children,” which means there is something for everyone of all ages at GMBC.
When families join Greater Middle Baptist, they join a team of youth called the CIA (or Children in Action) who work to present numerous programs throughout the year, including Black History Month, Easter, and Christmas. They can also participate in Children’s Choir and are taught vital lessons about Christ during their own Children’s Period of the Service. The CIA Department is continuing to grow as the members of GMBC reach out to the community.
As children’s grow older, they always have a special place to belong – Greater Middle Baptist’s Youth Mission – as they worship God and serve others. The purpose of the Youth Mission is to help young Christians and developing Christians to grow as Jesus grew in spiritual stature, in wisdom and in favor with God. Below are Ministries in which your child can participate.
- Sunshine Band – Boys and Girls, ages 1 -3 and 4 – 8 years
- Junior Red Circle – Girls, ages 9 – 11 years
- Intermediate Red Circle – Girls, ages 12 – 14 years
- Senior Red Circle – Girls, ages 15 – 17 years
- Young Women (unmarried) – Ages 18 – 35 years
- Young Women (married) – Ages 18 – 35 years
- Junior Crusaders (Explorers) – Boys, ages 9 – 11 years
- Intermediate Crusaders (Caravaners) – Boys, ages 12 – 14 years
- Senior Crusaders (Tabs) – Boys, 15 – 18 years
- Junior Laymen – Young Men, ages 18 – 35 years
- Laymen’s League – Men, ages 35 and older
